Singer Sonu Nigam has sold five land parcels totaling 1.067 hectares in Karjat, part of Mumbai 3.0, for ₹95 lakh. Earlier, he also sold four parcels in the same area for nearly ₹2 crore, showing continued real estate activity in the region.
Popular playback singer Sonu Nigam has sold a land parcel of 1.067 hectares in Karjat for a total value of ₹95 lakh, according to property registration records accessed by CRE Matrix. The deal was recently registered and highlights continued activity in the growing Mumbai 3.0 region.
This transaction comes just one month after Sonu Nigam sold multiple land parcels in the same area. In April 2026, he sold around 1.9 hectares of land in Karjat for nearly ₹1.95 crore, indicating repeated land transactions in this location.
The latest deal includes five adjoining land parcels in Savele village, Karjat. Together, these plots make up about 1.067 hectares of land, which were sold for a combined ₹95 lakh.
As per the documents, the transaction was officially registered on May 12. A stamp duty of approximately ₹5.7 lakh was paid at the time of registration.
The sale includes multiple small parcels sold to different buyers. Four individuals purchased a 0.21-hectare plot for ₹20 lakh. Two homebuyers purchased another nearby parcel of 0.215 hectares for ₹20 lakh.
In another deal, a 0.225-hectare land parcel was purchased by one individual for ₹20 lakh. A separate 0.20-hectare plot was sold for ₹17 lakh to a group of two buyers.
The final parcel of 0.217 hectares was sold to an individual buyer for ₹18 lakh, completing the set of five transactions in the area.
The Karjat region is attracting attention as part of the Mumbai 3.0, or “Third Mumbai,” development plan. It is slowly becoming a preferred location for second homes and long-term investment.
Karjat is part of a larger expansion zone in the Raigad district, located near the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. This region is being developed to reduce pressure on Mumbai city and create a new planned economic zone.
The Maharashtra government is supporting this growth through infrastructure projects, land pooling systems, and investment-friendly policies. These steps are aimed at attracting industries, global investors, and integrated township developers.
Due to these developments, Karjat is seeing increased interest from buyers seeking affordable land near Mumbai. The area is expected to grow further as connectivity and infrastructure improve under the Mumbai 3.0 expansion plan.
The recent transaction by Sonu Nigam reflects the growing real estate activity in emerging zones around Mumbai.
