The deal highlights the growing demand for premium office spaces in Gurugram, especially from global companies expanding their operations in India.

The lease includes a 5% rent escalation clause, which means the rent will increase periodically during the lease term.
Along with the office space, Airbnb has leased 38 car parking slots. The company will pay ₹2.85 lakh per month for these parking spaces at a rate of ₹7,500 per slot.
According to the lease agreement, any additional parking spaces required in the future will be charged at ₹8,500 per month per slot.
A Global Capability Centre, or GCC, is an offshore facility that supports a company's global operations. These centres handle important functions such as technology, analytics, finance, customer support, operations, and business services.
Many multinational companies are setting up GCCs in India because of the country's skilled workforce, strong technology ecosystem, and cost advantages.
Commenting on the transaction, Raja Seetharaman, Co-founder of Propstack, said that Airbnb's expansion at DLF Cyber City reflects the strong growth of India's commercial real estate sector.
He noted that GCCs have evolved from traditional back-office centres into major drivers of premium office leasing. Long-term commitments from global technology companies show continued demand for high-quality Grade-A office spaces across major Indian cities.
Airbnb is a global platform that connects property owners with travellers looking for short-term accommodation. Over the years, the company has expanded its offerings beyond home rentals.
The platform now provides several travel-related services, including airport pickups, grocery deliveries, luggage storage, and car rental options through its app.
India has become one of Airbnb's fastest-growing markets. The company sees significant long-term opportunities due to rising domestic travel, a growing middle class, and increasing demand from younger travellers.
Recently, Airbnb Co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky said that the company plans to continue investing in India for the long term.
He described India as one of Airbnb's most important growth markets and said the company expects strong expansion in the coming years. According to him, India already hosts Airbnb's largest corporate office outside the United States.
The latest office lease at DLF Cyber City further reflects Airbnb's commitment to expanding its operations and strengthening its presence in the Indian market.
